Our Black phosphorus crystals are treated as gold standards in 2D materials field. These crystals are notoriously known to possess extremely well defined anisotropic properties, bright luminescence, clean PL spectra, no bound exciton shoulders at low temperatures, high carrier mobility, and negligible amount of defects (see published results below).
Summary. The only true commercially available semiconductor grade, single crystal, single phase phosphorene. Our growth process was optimized to reach electronic quality with high purity and mobility. Crystals are layered, display strong Raman signals, sharp XRD peaks, and are easy to exfoliate (see images) . Product is created as semiconductor grade with 99.9995-99.9998% purity and ideal for electrical & optical - chemical measurements. Crystals display large single crystal domain with 0.05 degree mosaic spread (monolayers are perfectly stacked onto each other). Ideal for exfoliation down to monolayer phosphorene. What is different in this item compared to BPs from other sources?
- Black phosphorus is particularly unstable when the defect density is large. Our products have negligible amount of defects allowing for extended stability of monolayers (up to 6 months).
- Our materials are electronic grade, thus electronic mobility values are far greater than other products
- Our materials are optical grade, emitting light with observable PL signal.
- In plane anisotropy is near perfect due to large sigle crystalline domain size. Competing products are mostly semi-crystalline (amorphous and crystalline phases co-exist).
