Graphene has ultrahigh specific surface area (up to 2630 m2 / g) and quite stable chemical structure. These properties make it an promising functional material in the field of energy storage.


1) Directly used as storage electrodes: similar with graphite electrodesbut with higher conductivity, can improve the rate characteristic of the energy storage devices.
2) Used as additive: similar withcarbon nanotubes and conductive carbon black, to improve the conductivity of anode material.
3) Used for function modification: for example, degradation suppression of silicon, Tin;
4) Used aselectrode material of super capacitors: to replace part of activated charcoal. It is reported that, graphene super capacitor with energy density reaching 65WH / Kg, has been launched.
